About NEWS 2023
Experience a 2 day workshop dedicated to the basics of endoscopic spine surgery. You will be seeing live surgeries, working on your endoscope insertion skills with models and listen to socratic talks on Endoscopic spine.
Live Surgeries
We are attempting to keep 2 live surgeries during the conference (assuming patient availability). If you have any patients that may benefit from endoscopic spine surgery, we will be providing free treatment to them for purposes of the conference. Please contact us on vinod@ark.hospital
Training on Models
All delegates will get a chance to, under C-arm guidance, attempt insertion of the entry guide wire, tubular dilators and an endoscope in the lumbar spine. We will be using models for this purpose.
Interactive Lecture Series
Endoscopic Spine may be a new concept for most surgeons and therefore, we have kept a lecture series focusing on basics of endoscopic spine that a surgeon should be well versed with.
Speakers
You will be taught through lectures, models and be shown surgeries by two of our faculty, Dr. Vinod Agrawal and Dr. Prasad Patgaonkar.
Dr. Prasad Patgaonkar
Course Director
Dr. Prasad is an expert in Endoscopic Spine Surgery practicing in Indore and has performed more than 1500 cases and has taught multiple residents the art of Endoscopic Spine Surgery.
Dr. Vinod Agrawal
Organising Secretary
Dr. Vinod is a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon in Mumbai and has been organising the NEWS conference to help students be well-versed with endoscopic spine surgery.
